Damn Arms and Dananananaykroyd have both been forced to pull their appearances at this week’s Great Escape in Brighton.
Both bands were due to play the Artrocker stage at the three day event but have had to cancel due to economic reasons.
First up Aussies Damn Arms have pulled their entire UK and European tour which includes The Great Escape, but will now tour later in the year.
Explaining the decision on Myspace they wrote: “We’ve been offered tours in the U.S.A and Japan for later this year (which are really AWESOME shows)... and being the poorest band on earth we can’t afford to go overseas twice this year.
“So now we're going to change our tickets to ‘ROUND THA WORLD’ tickets and play in the UK/Europe, Japan & the U.S.A later in the year.”
On the Dananananaykroyd front the band simply can’t afford to hire a van to take them down to Brighton from their Scottish dwellings.
Maybe their fans should have a collection or something?
