    Pete Doherty Unveils Blood Gallery

Pete Doherty’s artwork – created using is own blood – has been unveiled at an art gallery in London today (May 11th).

The exhibition at the Bankrobber art gallery features images ranging from self-portraits to a crucifixion scene – all of which have been sketched by Doherty using the unusual ink.

Although the Gallery has yet to confirm the prices of the original pieces, prints are available for £250 with Doherty’s signature in pencil, and £1,200 if you want the autograph in blood.

Spokesman for the gallery, Robin Barton, said of the exhibition: "His use of blood lends itself perfectly to exploring the extraordinary personal and physical intensity that characterises so much of Peter’s life and work as an artist in the broadest sense."

Many of the exhibitions pieces will also appear in Doherty’s personal diaries, ‘Journals,’ which are released in bookshops at the end of this month.

The ‘Bloodworks’ exhibition will run at the Bankrobber gallery for a minimum of four weeks.
