Nick Atkinson and Luke Potashnick went to school together, and having had no success getting a record deal with other bands in London, Atkinson rang up his old friend.  After writing together for a few weeks and being happy with the results, they decided to form a band, bringing in Dave Neale who Potashnick knew from performing in Cornwall.  Their line up was completed after placing an advert in the music press for a bassist, and after auditioning for a day they found Ben Smyth.  The band’s name came from a bet Atkinson made on the horse Rooster Booster.

The band appeared at V2004, and released their debut single ‘Come Get Some’ in November, entering the UK singles chart at number 7.  They embarked on their first UK tour, and promise to release an album in early 2005 full of swaggering guitar riffs and soaring choruses.
