The Gossip’s “chunky” frontwoman Beth Ditto is being featured in a new Vogue spread on women in music.

The singer made sure she deftly swerved any clichés about being overweight by turning up at the magazine’s offices and asking, “Where’s breakfast?”

She proudly tells The Sun, “This is probably the first time a chunky person has made it into Vogue, right?”

The Long Blondes’ Kate Jackson and Lily Allen also make the “celebration” of women in music – which is a little surprising since Lily ranted at exactly this kind of ghettoisation of female artists in her tirade against the NME earlier this year, after they had the temerity to put someone else on the magazine’s cover.

She’s the NEXT BIG Global star and not in size..in self-respect and putting who she really IS right out there. Her vocal Talent is going to keep evolving. After hearing her and seeing her videos..I cant get enuff of her talent!! 2-piece band and a HOT voice..keep watching..Lilly Allen..U just dont GET IT!
