In what may well be our favourite story of the day, Borat star Sacha Baron Cohen has reportedly signed up to play Freddie Mercuy in a biopic.
Johnny Depp had originally been mooted for the lead role in the bio-pic, but producers and the surviving members of Queen have apparently been impressed by Borat's Freddiesque look.
A source said: "Film makers are working flat out to get the best possible script. Sacha loves the idea he can get away with playing Freddie after modelling Borat's look on him."
Mercury, of course, died of an aids related illness 16 years ago. The film will focus on the high points of his life.
