Seafood have covered The Cure classic ‘Lovesong’ for their new single.
Available as a digital download only from June 11, the single will be augmented by a funeral-paced cover of Townes Van Zandt’s track ‘I’ll Be Here In The Morning.’
Speaking about the cover frontman/guitarist Davis Line said: “We’ve often been compared to The Cure and we thought ‘Lovesong’ sounded like a Seafood song so it was a perfect choice to cover.
“Townes Van Zandt was an amazing songwriter and has been a firm favourite of ours for many years. We have been playing his track live on the last couple of tours, so it was time to get it recorded.”
The band are currently in the midst of recording the follow-up to last year’s album ‘Paper Crown King’.
