Gwen Stefani Has No Doubts About Solo Album

    No Doubt

The solo album from No Doubt front lady Gwen Stefani is looking to be not so solo.

The album, ‘Love. Angel, Music, Baby’ is set to feature contributions from New Order, Outkast, Eve and Dr. Dre.

In an interview given to Rolling Stone Stefani told how all of the artists featured on the album were given precise orders to follow.

She said: "I knew exactly what my influences were - Club Nouveau, Lisa Lisa, Prince, New Order, The Cure and early Madonna. Everybody was under strict instructions”

Bernard Summer and Peter Hook from New Order guest on ‘Real Thing’ which also stars Prince’s former backing musicians Wendy and Lisa.

‘Rich Girl’ features a reprise of an earlier collaboration with Eve, ‘Let Me Blow Your Mind’ and Dr. Dre is responsible for the production on the track.

Other artists lending their talents to the album are Andre 3000, The Neptunes and producer Dallas Austin.

Speaking to Billboard.com, Stefani said she hoped the album and its collaborators would attract new listeners as well as appealing to old No Doubt fans.

She said: "I have all the respect for everyone that's ever supported No Doubt around the world, but if I'm being honest, when I'm making songs I'm only thinking of myself. I don't think of other people”

    Nice.

"It's not 'make music to order' over here. I had a specific thing I wanted to try (with this album) and now, I'm ready to share it with people."

‘Love, Angel, Music, Baby’ will be released on November 23rd and will be available in a limited edition deluxe package.
