More The Noisettes

The Noisettes have produced one of the most striking albums of the year in ‘What’s The Time Mr. Wolf?’, and this single is a nice introduction to the soulful, punk racket they so effortlessly produce. ‘Scratch Your Name’ is a thrilling three-minute blast of good old fashioned rock ‘n’ roll that’s the perfect antidote to the waves of trendier-than-thou young men currently clogging up the charts. Singer Shingai is as unique as they come; sexy, frenzied and cool all at the same time, with a voice that could send shivers down an Eskimo’s spine. Oh, and the rest of them can play a bit as well. They deserve to be much bigger than they are.
