Mani: 'The Stone Roses Will Never Reform'

Former Stone Roses bassist Mani says that The Stone Roses won’t reform, despite him having the power do make it happen.

Of course, now with Primal Scream, Mani says he is completely happy with his current band and that The Roses wouldn’t get back together.

He said:  "I'm the only person who could bring it back together again. John Squire knows how to craft a tune, Ian Brown  knows how to craft a tune. I don't know if any of us are powerful without each other. The magic was the power of four."

"At the end of the day I'm not going to lose any sleep over a reunion, because those days are gone."

Mani continued to Uncut: "It's disrespectful for Bobby and Andrew and Duffy for people to say, 'When are the Roses reforming? Why bother? I'm in Primal Scream. It would be nice to do, but I've got my family now."

    • That’s total bollocks Mani, no disrespect. You’re not the ”only person” who can put them back together. The Roses won’t reform because Ian and John haven’t spoken to each other in a decade...

    • He changes his tune everytime he’s asked. I reckon he’s just sick of the question. If the opportunity arose, he’d be there in a minute.

    • All four of them would have to be in the line up for it to work. I can’t see Ian Brown ever bothering anyway, and it would be him being prepared to play with John that would make it happen. I reckon Reni would be least likely to play again. He’s always said that he didn’t want to.
