The all-conquering Arctic Monkeys are expected to make chart history by having an astonishing 18 tracks in the singles charts this Sunday.
All 12 tracks from their new album ‘Favourite Worst Nightmare’ along with six from their debut ‘Whatever People Say I Am, That's What I'm Not’ are headed for the top 200 from internet download sales.
The fantastically named HMV spokesperson Gennaro Castaldo tells the BBC, “The Arctic Monkeys are currently on course to have a total of 18 songs in the top 200 when the next official UK charts are announced on Sunday.
"You'd probably have to go back to the hey-day of the Beatles in the early-mid sixties to find anything that could come close to matching this record."
However, the first single off the album Brianstorm failed to top the charts – although it is expected to stay in the top five this week.
