The usually tight-lipped Lily Allen, has made an out-of-character outburst and fired her vitriol at a band.
Well, not quite. This week’s victim of a Ms Allen tongue lashing are those cocaine loving Dundee upstarts The View. And it seems Lily doesn’t like them very much.
She told Pitchfork: “I hate that band The View: they're the worst new band. I think they sound like a cross between The Proclaimers and Arctic Monkeys. But I like the Arctic Monkeys.” Err right.

- That is harsh on the Proclaimers. I saw them a couple of years ago and they were awesome! The View are no where near as good as the boys from Leith.
Sounds like Lily Allen has a problem with our friends north of the border.
The implication is that it’s The Proclaimers element that have made them shit!? Is there no end to Lily Allen’s wrong headedness? I’m sick of Lily Allen and other London trendies like, erm, Mogwai, mouthing off over here about cool groups The Reynolds Girls and The Proclaimers. Fun hating shit snobs.
