Despite the new White Stripes album being imminent, The Raconteurs have revealed that they are deep in the process of recording their second album.
Jack White says the four piece are holed up in a Nashville studio laying down tracks for the follow-up to last year’s ‘Broken Boy Soldiers.’
He tells Billboard: "We don't know if were going to finish but we wanted to get everything down before we got busy. We have a lot bigger ideas about certain things, so we will see how far we get."
White went on to say that the album is “very different” from their debut and that the recording process is coming along nicely.
The White Stripes’ ‘Icky Thump’, of course, has been given a June release date, meaning that White will have commitments with Meg for most of the year.
The Raconteurs are working with producer Joe Chiccarelli who also did the honours on ‘Icky Thump.’
