Apparently the ‘Shits’ (as I like to call them) were “whacked up on caffeine” when recording their debut album. Bloody hell guys. Chill out…on the basis of this release I wouldn’t bet against the presence of of a couple of sugars in those coffees either. Sounding like Franz Ferdinand smothered in Disco Disco Sauce™?, ‘OK’ is a stomping, scuzz-flecked anthem. This is proper, hedonistic pop for the 21st century and ShitDisco remind us that music can be used for party purposes as well deep political statements about war and famine and museums and that. The beat rules supreme and lyrics are somewhat repetitive, but there are certainly more peaks than troughs in this riotous glam journey.
