Mocky ft. Jamie Lidell – ‘In The Meantime’ (Four Music) Released 23/04/07

This new single is Mocky’s second collaboration with the much-acclaimed Jamie Lidell. Lidell somewhat steals the show here with his vocals shimmering and soaring above the squelching synths and handclaps, whilst Mocky, who also provides the lacklustre music, is left murmuring something about “wearing slippers and singing the blues”. 'In The Meantime' is a somewhat under whelming effort from Mocky then, but all is not lost: it does serve us a reminder of just how talented that Mr Lidell is, as he manages to shine on even the dullest of records.
