Klaxons To Make 'Huge Tribal Prog Album'

Klaxons say that they are going to change direction drastically on their second album.

The trio are going to ditch the glowsticks and all that new rave rubbish in favour of sprawling, epic tracks that take influence from bands of old.

Simon Taylor from the outfit said: “We’ve written the opener of the next album. We’re think of making a prog album – like a huge tribal prog album.

“We’ve all been listening to bands in England like Caravan, so we’re definitely making a big, prog album.”

A few weeks ago we reported that the band once and for all said that they would like to axe all new rave related paraphernalia. It seems they’re now stepping up the ante.

    • Tribal prog sounds great but these kids are just loft rustlers looking for labels. The past should be vengeance on the present! Forward to pre-punk! Let’s make 2008 the year of Fela Kuti meets the Incredible String Band downtown!?
