Erol Alkan, Carl Cox and 2 Many DJs are amonst the artists performing at a two day VJ and DJ event in Manchester this summer.
‘Industrial Resolution’ is being dubbed as a monumental visual arts installation, and is organised as part of the Manchester International Festival, featuring visual jockeys creating images alongside the music of high profile DJs.
Held at Manchester Central (formerly the G-Mex) on July 6 and 7 and directed by Todd Graft, it is hoped that the event will give those attending a complete sensory experience.
Organisers said: “By using mosaics – images within images and subplots within meta-themes – the VJs will focus on a series of issues relating to the industrial and digital revolutions including ecology, music, computation, politics and communication: a completely unique juxtaposition of Manchester’s history and future.”
Other big names manning the decks over the two days are Fatboy Slim, Bushwacka, Sasha, Pete Tong, Gilles Peterson and Unabombers.
Tickets are on from 10am this coming Friday (April 20) and cost £32.50 for the opening day and £40 for the Saturday.
