Bee Gee Barry Gibb has vowed to preserve the foundations of country legend Johnny Cash’s house after it burnt down last week.
Gibb, who owns the property, called the site “sacred” and said it “must be protected forever" despite the devastating fire there.
He says he and his wife will now build a property away from the site of the original house.
He tells the BBC, "Linda and I have decided to build our own home on the higher ground surrounding the Johnny Cash and June Carter Cash home.
"The original foundations shall be kept intact and preserved for the people of Hendersonville and the people of Nashville."
The singer had bought the house last year following Cash’s death, and was renovating it when the fire broke out.
Little now remains of the property apart from the stone chimneys.
