Keith Richards 'I Did NOT Snort My Dad's Ashes'

Keith Richards himself has now denied that he snorted his father’s ashes.

Despite the lengths the NME are going to to persuade people it was true, Richards himself has rubbished it saying it was a light-hearted comment that was taken completely out of context.

The statement reads: “The complete story is lost in the usual slanting! The truth of the matter is that I planted a sturdy English Oak (with the ashes).

“I took the lid off the box of ashes and he is now growing oak trees and would love me for it!!! I was trying to say how tight Bert (his father) and I were. That tight!!! I wouldn't take cocaine at this point in my life unless I wished to commit suicide.”

Also confirming that the story was a load of tripe is Keef’s spokesperson Bernard Doherty who told BBC6music: “It was an off-the-cuff remark, a joke, and it is not true. File under April Fool's joke."
