Chris Martin Gets Sweet Revenge On School Bully

As well as enjoying the life of an international pop star, enjoying all of the macrobiotic meals he can eat and being married to Hollywood beauty Gwyneth Paltrow, Chris Martin has revealed Coldplay’s success has brought with it another kind of perk – revenge on a school bully.

Martin reveals that while he was a student at a private boarding school Sherborne in Dorset, he was painfully shy and a victim of bullies.

The multi-million selling singer says that he bumped into one of the bullies, whilst with his wife Gwyneth Paltrow, and took great satisfaction in introducing him to the Hollywood star: “I bumped into a guy who used to give me hell at school. He was a bully who always said I wouldn’t make anything of myself.”

“I had great pleasure in asking what he was up to now. He wasn’t up to much. Then I turned around and said, ‘This is my wife Gwyneth.’ His face dropped and he looked really embarrassed.”

The normally mild-mannered star revealed he enjoyed turning the tables, saying: “It was a proud moment. I’m not one to get my own back and look for revenge – but that was pretty sweet.”
