Makers Of New Pete Doherty Doll Criticised

The makers of a new Pete Doherty doll have been criticised for glorifying the singer’s drug use.

Cult British toy company Fishy Toyz are launching the new doll through internet retailers today, and the mini-model of the Babyshambles singer comes complete with a miniature guitar, cigarettes, syringe and crack-pipe.

The crack-pipe lights up when placed against the doll’s lips, whilst the eyeball features a hole in which to place the syringe.

However, Will Burroughs from anti-drug group ‘Just Say No’ says the doll could encourage Pete’s young fans to experiment themselves.

    He says, “It’s very irresponsible.”

A spokesperson for Fishy Toyz did not want to be quoted directly but indicated advance sales had been healthy.
