Paul Weller 'Spits' At Portrait Of Sting

Paul Weller has reportedly paid his old nemesis Sting the ultimate insult – by spitting on a portrait of The Police frontman.

The alleged incident took place took at the Royal Albert Hall on Wednesday night (March 28), just as the Modfather was taking his seat at Russell Brand’s Teenage Cancer Trust show.

The 48-year-old saw the offending photograph mounted at the venue and marched up to it, coughed up a nice greenie and spat it out straight at Sting. The Daily Mirror claims he then walked away uttering “fucking tit.”

It’s not the first time Weller has vented his spleen against Sting. In a magazine interview recently, the former Jam frontman blasted: “He’s (Sting) a fucking horrible man.

“Not my cup of tea at all. Fucking rubbish. No edge, no attitude, no nothing.”

I think weller should get off his pedestal and do a stint with foxton & buckler. The fans who put him up there when he was with the jam deserve at least one proper farewell show, unlike that shambles in Brighton all those years ago.

Weller’s right. Sting is more concerned with what Oscar party he’ll go to rather than putting out good music.
