Thursday have parted company with their record company Island after four years with the label.
Announcing the news via their myspace page, the band wrote: "It was a difficult decision and it took us the better part of six months to come to an agreement with the label but now that we have both of us are very happy with how things have turned out."
Thursday signed to Island after an acrimonious departure from Victory Records who issued 2001’s ‘Full Collapse’.
The New Jersey six piece say they have had several offers from other labels but are undecided at the moment.
They added: We have not decided where this new record will be released yet. Although we've had several wonderful offers already, we're just enjoying our freedom for now."
The band are currently touring Europe and Canada until the end of May.
