Shirley Bassey Confirmed For Glastonbury
Dame Shirley Bassey has been confirmed to appear at this year’s Glastonbury Festival.
Organiser/dairy farmer Michael Eavis has revealed that the 70-year-old singer will perform on the Sunday afternoon at the Pilton event.
The traditional Sunday afternoon slot on the Pyramid Stage has featured veterans such as Tony Bennett and Brian Wilson in recent years.
Other new additions include Damien Rice and The Waterboys on the acoustic stage.
Glastonbury was granted a new four year license by Mendip Council yesterday, plus it was given permission to expand its capacity to 177,500.
Almost 400,000 people have registered for tickets, which go on sale from 9am this coming Sunday (April 1).
