    The Zutons Are Seeing Stars

    dave mccabeThe Zutons were big crowd pullers at their weekend gig in London’s Shepherd Bush Empire this weekend.

    As well as the common people a number of big names showed up to witness the Mercury Music Prize nominee’s performance.

    In the crowd were Har Mar Superstar, Noel Gallagher, The Streets, The Music, Elbow and The Gorrilaz.

    The Scousers played a set mainly comprising of their debut album ‘Who Killed The Zutons?’ including, ‘Pressure Point’, ‘Zuton Fever’ and ‘Long Tim Coming’. Singer Dave McCabe dedicated ‘Remember Me’ and ‘You Will You Won’t’ to the crowd who thought so much of the show they gave the band a standing ovation.

    Speaking to NME drummer Sean Payne said: "We have been looking forward to this gig loads. It’s been weird getting used to the big places, because we have been used to playing festivals and playing in America. So coming back here is a bit crazy, but it’s good though."

    The band are due to play to Christmas shows to a home crowd in Liverpool on December 17 and 18.

    "We don’t know if we’ll be swapping the boiler suits for some Santa outfits. But it is Christmas so it could happen I reckon," said Sean.
