The Who returned to the stage in Arkansas last night as Roger Daltrey recovered from illness.
The seminal band were forced to axe their set in Florida after just one song last week, with Daltrey too ill to carry on. Two subsequent shows were also ditched due to Daltrey’s bout of bronchitis.
The band performed a full 95 minute set at the Little Rock in Arkansas on Wednesday night, with Daltrey telling the crowd: “Boy, it feels good to be out of bed.”
However, the singer didn’t look a full picture or health, often going to the side of the stage to cough and sipping drinks of water.
Speaking on The Who’s website, guitarist Pete Townshend said of the return: “Roger has been advised by no less then three doctors that he is OK to perform.
"Although I think he may still find the next few days hard (more shows in a row than we normally do) I'm sure we'll be great."
The band will be coming to Europe for dates throughout Spring and Summer, included their coveted appearance at Glastonbury.
