Ozzy Osbourne and wife Sharon are to head a MTV competition to find a new band for the Ozzfest tour next year.
The winner will be chosen from eight other acts and will win a place on the tour as well as equipment and tour money, and will be in line for a possible record deal.
"Ozzfest has been the launch pad for so many new acts, all who have gone on to multi-platinum success," said Sharon Osbourne.
The eight episode show will feature the band going through the touring process.
"Life on the road isn't always what it's cracked up to be and our bands are going to find that out, the hard way," said Sharon.
Next year is Ozzfest’s 10th birthday. Bands such as System of a Down, Incubus and Slipknot have all played at the festival before shooting to fame.
Battle for Ozzfest begins on October 25.
