Newly released accounts show Oasis paid off Alan White £348,000 to sack him as their drummer.
That means the group have paid out almost one million pounds to change drummers over the years, after original stickman Tony McCarroll was given £550,000 after threatening to sue for £18 million.
When White left the band in 2004 Liam Gallagher claimed it was over something as simple as his girlfriend.
He said, “Turns out he’s hanging out with his bird in Spain. Once the word bird and Spain are mentioned together it’s like, OK, Oasis vs girlfriend.”
The pay-off helped the band’s touring company ’Definitely Maybe’ made a loss of almost £1 million in 2005, according to accounts seen by The Sun.
