    The Twang Snub Their Detractors

Loved by many and loathed by just as many, much-hyped Birmingham lads The Twang say that they don’t care what detractors say about them.

Speaking to Gigwise, bassist and co-founder Jon Watkin told us that for them they don’t care what people think, they’ll just carry on as they are.

Referring to their career so far, he said: “We’re really enjoying it. People can hype us up if they want.  I think we’re a bit different.

“A lot of people will hate us, but I think we’ve got good songs. The music always does the talking don’t it really?”

He continued:  “We just want to have a laugh. We just want people to enjoy themselves have a bit of a party.  You just don’t take it too seriously. Music is music.”

The Twang release their first single ‘Wide Awake’ through B-Unique on March 19.
