US rapper Foxy Brown has claimed she was a victim of police brutality after she was arrested last week.
Brown was arrested on battery charges whilst in a beauty storein Florida last week. Brown held a press conference at a Baptist church in Brooklyn where she denied police claims that she spat on a store owner and resisted arrest.
Brown claims she was a victim of police brutality because she is black. She says she was dragged half naked out of the store’s toilet. "The only crime I'm guilty of is being a young black woman," she said.
The 27-year-old star, real name Inga Marchand, denies charges of resisting an officer and simple battery.
She could be sent to prison when she appears in court later this week for violating probation.
In October, she was sentenced to three years probation for assaulting two New York nail salon workers in 2004.
