Tool have been forced to postpone their upcoming spring tour after drummer Danny Carey picked up a pretty nasty injury.
The sticks man tore his bicep and was sent for surgery. The band said in a statement that although surgery was successful, Carey requires some time to recover from the injury.
It means he won’t be ready for the tour which was due to kick off at the Pearl on Las Vegas on March 15. Rather than draft in a replacement, they have postponed the shows.
The North American jaunt would have wound up until the end of April. The band are still set to play the Bonnaroo festival in June.
Tool’s latest long-player ’10,000 Days’ has shifted an impressive 1.4million copies in the States alone.
