Joss Stone Blames Strange Brits Antics On 'Nerves'

Joss Stone has denied she was drunk when she made her bizarre appearance at last week’s Brit Awards.

The star’s behaviour caused many to assume the singer had been drinking before the event, she left fand bemused by her behaviour whilst on stage on the night.

Stone walked about distractedly on stage, sent ‘big, big love’ to Robbie Williams and made jokes about host Russell Brand in a faux American accent.

According to her spokesperson, Stone's behaviour was simply down to ‘nerves’. “She only had one drink before she went on stage as she had an early flight the next day.”

They continued: "She's lived in America since she was 15 but her accent becomes stronger when she's nervous.”
