A beautiful, haunting requiem undulates simply from the speakers. Mark Lanegan’s – (ex Screaming Trees frontman and QOTSA collaborator) voice hypnotises and the eerie yet comforting tones drag you in begging for redemption in God-like proportions. Johnny cash on his American recordings; Alabama 3 on their masterpiece ‘La Peche’ and Nick Cave all spring immediately to mind.
