Thom Yorke has hit back at Noel Gallagher’s recent scathing comments about the Radiohead front man.
Gallagher last week hit out at Yorke’s doom laden lyrics in one of his regular outbursts.
He said: “Thom Yorke sat at a piano singing, 'This is ****ed up,' for half an hour. We all know that, Mr Yorke. Who wants to sing the news?
“No matter how much you sit their twiddling, going, 'We're all doomed,' at the end of the day people will always want to hear you play Creep. Get over it.
"I never went to ****ing university. I don't know what a paint brush is; I never went to art school."
Posting on Radiohead’s official website Yorke retorted to the university comments by saying: “I did. It taught me to respect other artists.”

- noel gallagher is a ****ing legend but i think he should stay away from thom yorke if he is going to hit out at anyone, with the amount of talent the man has!

i like both of them but it seems the sadsacks that write for gigwise and a good majority of the people that log in are either (i) over sensitive wee souls or (ii) severley lacking in a sense of humour/common sense.
Do any of you people really think that Thom Yorke or Kele Okereke go to bed crying cos Noel has slated them? I don’t think they do. Noel just speaks honestly. His views on topical songwriting are spot on. tune into channel 4 at 7 if you want the latest. Or go and see Oasis
