starstarno starno starno star
A local radio DJ would no doubt rave over this as a “dirty retro-glam stomper”.  Someone who listens to more of the song than up until the vocals come in and they have to stop talking, however, might realise that it’s actually just a pastiche of every song that came out in 1973.  You know those pub-rock covers bands that seem to play 'All the Young Dudes' and 'Whisky In The Jar' on a permanent loop?  This is the self-penned song they throw into their set as a concession to their lost dreams of stardom.

  • I have also seen this band liveand apart from rock music they have a soulful side with great and touching lyrics. Check out Godless and relate it to the London tube bombing in July 06. Also check out the poetic words in Madness of Crowds (Chinese whisper well).

  • We must be watching different bands. The creepy looking drummer is awful. Same old same old dross seen a hundred times before. Fell asleep half way through their set. How the hell did they get a deal ?

  • Saw this band at the Cavern Club in Liverpool a few years ago and thought they were really good. They were called Stoner then. Recently caught them again at at the Metro Club in London and they have got even better. These lads have really worked at their music. I think they have an album out in the summer . I will buy it.

  • I have seen this band live quite a few times over the last couple of years (formerly ”Stoner”). They’re good musicians and I totally support them on their musical quest for brilliance. I will be buying the album. To the person who can only find the time to put insulting comments on the board - Some Velvet Morning are signed because the label see that they are good, work hard at their music and have the potential to reach new heights.
