Iron Maiden are set to become the first heavy metal act to play a gig in India.
Brice Dickinson and co. will play in the grounds of a palace in Bangalore on March 17.
The band have a huge following in the country, with their latest long-player ‘A Matter of Life and Death’ reaching number two in the Indian charts.
The show is part of a string of Iron Maiden dates lined up for places they have never played before – including the United Arab Emirates and the Dubai.
Bruce Dickinson said: It's very special to us to be able to play to new fans in countries we've never been to before. We hear the Indian fans are very loud and into their metal."
The band promise to play a mix of old rock classics and tracks from their latest album.
