The legendary Patti Smith has confirmed a string of UK and Ireland tour dates for this coming May.
The singer plays nine shows in support of her new album, ‘Twelve’, released through Columbia records on April 16.
‘Twelve’ sees Patti reinterpret other artists’ original songs including ‘Pastime Paradise’ by Stevie Wonder, Neil Young’s ‘Helpless’ plus tracks by Nirvana, The Doors, Bob Dylan, Jimi Hendrix and many more.
As well as the covers, ‘Twelve’ also features a host of guest musicians, including Red Hot Chili Peppers’ ‘Flea’, Television guitarist Tom Verlaine and The Black Crowes’ Rich Robinson.
Tickets for the tour cost from £20 to £27.50 and are on sale now. The tour takes in the following dates:
