The Ataris have announced that they are to release their fifth studio album on February 19.
The album, which is called, ‘Welcome the Night,’ will be the first release featuring the band’s new members, Paul Carabello, Sean Hansen and Shane Chikeles.
The follow up to 2003’s, ‘So Long Astoria,’ was recorded in Los Angeles with Talking Heads producer Nick Launay and promises to be their most adventurous yet.
The band have also announced a tour, which kicks off in Portsmouth at the end of April.
The tour dates are as follows –
Portsmouth, Wedgwood Rooms – April 29
Leeds, Cockpit - 30
Manchester, Academy 3 - May 1
Birmingham, Academy 2 - 2
Glasgow, The Garage – 3
London, Mean Fiddler - 4
