Spiritualized Confirm Special Acoustic Tour

Spiritualized – aka Jason Pierce and his sporadic backing musicians – have announced details of an acoustic tour for this Spring.

Pierce will be accompanied by a string section, gospel singers and Spiritualized guitarist Doggen on Fender Rhodes.

For the shows, Pierce will be dipping into the back catalogue of both of his collective outfits Spacemen 3 and, of course, Spiritualized.

The new Spiritualized album is touted for release some time later this year. It had been delayed from its scheduled 2005 release due to a serious illness.

Pierce describes the long-player as “the work of the devil, with a little guidance from me.”

A proportion of the proceeds from the shows will be going to the Hoping Foundation for Palestinian Children.
