Snow Patrol Clean Up At Meteor Awards

Snow Patrol have taken home four awards from this years Meteor Ireland Music Awards, held in Dublin.

The Northern Ireland band captured the night’s top award for the Best Irish Band, beating of the other nominated acts, which included, The Divine Comedy.

The group also won the Best Live Performance category – which was voted for by the public, as well as claiming Best Irish Album for, ‘Eyes Open,’ and the gong for Most Downloaded Irish Song.

Snow Patrol are currently soaring in America where Eyes Open has already shifted over one million copies.

The ceremony was attended by a host of stars including, Amy Winehouse and the Kaiser Chiefs. Other winners included the mighty Westlife – who were voted the Best Irish Pop Act.
