Bloc Party’s Kele Attacks Jack White

Bloc Party’s Kele Okereke has launched a stinging attack on Jack White’s apathetic political stance.

The Bloc Party front man believes White should take an invested interest in foreign policy and not just ignore it because he’s an entertainer, reports the NME.

Okereke says that The Raconteurs, and The White Stripes singer, is only interested in, "Selling more records.”

The well-timed accusation comes on the day Bloc Party’s three night residency at the London Astoria gets underway (Jan 31st) and on the eve of the release of their second album , ‘ A Weekend In The City,’ which hits shops on February 5.

    • Bloc Party are London poncing gash. This is nonsense. Jack White has no obligation to do Kele wassiface’s bidding, just like have no obligation to listen to Bloc Party’s shower of shit records. In fact, if in fact Kele said this in an interview, to promote his new album, shouldn’t he just shut up and become a politician instead of attempting ’selling more records’?

    • They’re both boring. The most exciting thing Jack White has ever done is beating up that bloke. And Kele should keep his opinions to himself. Last time I checked, it was an entertainers priority to ENTERTAIN, not spouyt half-formed political thesis.
