The Kooks have announced that they have started work on the follow-up to their 2006 smash hit, ‘Inside In, Inside Out.’
Work on their as yet un-titled second album has begun in earnest in their hometown of Brighton – in a bid to escape the expectancy of the ‘difficult’ second album syndrome.
Band frontman Luke Pritchard told the NME: “To be honest I don't give a **** how the next record does because I never expected any of this - well, I do give a ****, but it isn't what my focus is.”
Although Pritchard might not “give a **** how the record does,” don’t expect it to sound that different from the acoustic sounds of their debut as they’ve once again lined up Tony Hoffer to produce the LP.
