This is the latest offering from Australian ex-DJ duo Bennie Single and Joe Dickenson who are apparently very fond of waffles and technotronic, hence the choice in band name. The boys claim they are ‘nu rave’ but ‘La Musique’ is plastic and fake and it would seem like they are actually trying to jump aboard the trendy bandwagon as opposed to genuinely fitting in with the genre. The track is over produced to its eyeballs and has a European woman talking over the throbbing beats, it’s repetitive and trashy and doesn’t have an edge. ‘La Musique’ belongs in a club in Lloret de Mar rather than at an indie disco, the B-side features the Adam Sky Remix of the same song, which is proof that these guys belong behind the decks rather than on them.
