More Ratatat
This New york duo have been making music together for three years and play a unique blend of instrumental indie-dance-rock-electronica. Ratatat's founders, Mike "Snake" Stroud (guitars) and Evan ''E*Vax" Mast (multi-intrumentalist), possess a very strange and diverse list of musical influences - including, Jay-Z, The Rolling Stones, Timbaland and Beethoven.
Signed to XL Recordings in Britain (home to The Prodigy, Badly Drawn Boy and The Golden Virgins etc.), they released their eponymous debut in April 2004.
Both have prestigious extra-curicular jobs. Mike plays guitars on tour for artists including Ben Kweller and Dashboard Confessional, whilst Evan has a record label - Audio Dregs Recordings - which he runs with his brother.
