The six children of James Brown have lodged a legal challenge to handling of his estate.
They have filed an emergency petition seeking the removal of the trustees claiming that the assest are in danger.
The trust manages the late soul legend’s estate and music rights while his personal belongings were dealt with separately in his will.
A court hearing has been schedule for February 1 though the trustees have continually denied any mismanagement.
Brown died on December 25 after complications resulting from pneumonia.
