The five-year-old song of the late James Brown has not been included in his will, lawyers said yesterday.
Brown’s son with Tomi Rae Hynie, James Jr., is the only one of his seven children not to receive a cut if his estate.
The Godfather of Soul’s lawyer Buddy Dallas said that the will was read in Aiken, South Carolina but has not been formally filed in a probate court.
Speaking about Brown’s home, Dallas said that is owned by James Brown’s trust. He said: “Technically the trustees own it for the benefit of the trust.
“It was not in the name of James Brown and hasn’t been that way for years.”
