In an almighty cock up, fans have been able to download The Shins’ new album through iTunes two weeks ahead of its official release.
The iTunes site had advertised that you can pre-order ‘Wincing The Night Away’ (released on January 22) early and get a free bonus track.
However, when you search for ‘Shins’ on the site, a pop up comes up enabling you to purchase the album in its entirety now. You also get the free bonus track.
It’s not yet known whether iTunes have put a procedure in place to solve the situation.
As previously reported, the full album track-listing is as follows:
Sleeping Lessons
Australia
Pam Berry
Phantom Limb
Sea Legs
Red Rabbits
Turn on Me
Black Wave
Spilt Needles
Girl Sailor
A Comet Appears
