X Factor/American Idol mastermind Simon Cowell has sensationally labelled Bob Dylan as boring and says he prefers Kelly Clarkson.
In a quote that is likely to inflame fans of the American folk icon, who are famously devoted to Bob, Cowell said: “If I had 10 Dylans in the final of American Idol we would not get 30 million viewers”.
Quoted in today’s Mirror, he went on to say: “A singing poet? It just bores me to tears.” He added he would rather listen to the American Idol winner Kelly Clarkson than Bob Dylan.
This is the same Bob Dylan that was voted the second greatest artist of all time by Rolling Stone magazine in 2004.
In the words of Dylan: “Idiot wind / Blowing every time you move your mouth”…

shithead

My dad can be a right cock at times. He’s lying. He raised me on Dylan. Oh shit, hang on, SIMON COWELL IS NOT MY DAD - please take note Colothan.
I think Cowell’s quite funny but the only reason behind his success is the ability to throw money at numerous ideas some work, some don’t, but for ****s sake labelling a legend boring is just to get your name in the paper, Michelle McManus, Mr Blobby, Robson & Jerome were they not worse than boring in that they were shit!
- will anyone be quoting Cowell in 40 years time - or even remember who he was? Maybe Dylan is too deep for the shallow man .....

- Simon who?
