Doesn't the public just love a celebrity love story? Apart from the eventual hope that the couple will have a messy divorce, hopefully with physical violence, nothing goes down better than a good old wedding. When the nation tuned in to find Preston was an alright bloke as he single handedly destroyed his relationship for Chantelle's love he strangely became quite loveable. Of course this was Big Brother and now Donny Tourette is providing viewer's rock and roll thirst Preston finds himself not gracing as many Heat front covers as originally hoped. The answer? Writing a song about his one, true love though it has to be said if this song represents Preston and Chantelle's relationship divorce papers will be looming sooner than thought.
First of all the singer immediately drops his IQ by at least 10% for naming the track 'I Luv U'. Now we can all see where he's coming from, text speak is indeed quicker, yet Preston seems to have taken this method to every aspect of the song. The bland chorus consisting of "I love you, you know that don't you?" suggests Preston had a little more trouble expressing his love over a bassline than in front of 100 cameras. Then after these profound words of wisdom he resorts to whistling in a jaunty 'Singin in the Rain' style for the last 50 seconds. If a song were to mark a change from failing rock band to media whores 'I Luv U' has to be it - and no Heat readers, it is not indeed sweet.
