Harrods To Host Special Guitar Exhibition

The world famous Harrods department store is set to host a special exhibition over the coming months on the electric guitar.

The ‘Born to Rock’ exhibition takes place from January 29 to March 3 and charts the history and development of the electric guitar and its cultural impact.

The highlight of the exhibition will be the most expensive guitar in the world – created for Harrods and will be encrusted with real diamonds.

Artists such as Graham Coxon, Joseph Arthur, Bryan Adams, Sir Peter Blake and Jennifer Lopez will all have their customised guitars exhibited.

Instruments connected to some of the biggest icons in music like Mark Bolan, Jimi Hendrix and Keith Richards, plus contemporary acts such as Alex Kapranos, will also be on display.

A series of live performance and guitar master classes are also being scheduled for the duration of the exhibition.

    • As an old retired pro from way back, message to Mr gutar man, let me know where else something like this is taking place! The so called people your talking about will probly be some of the first in line to checkout a bit of history they would otherwise only read about, and are you that good that you wouldn’t learn anything from a guitar masterclass? I’ll be there even though I played my way through 11 country’s on the ’SAXOPHONE’. I wish more events such as this too
