Busta Rhymes is being forced to pay $100,000 to a fan who claimed the rapper attacked him last March.
Melvin Smith's lawyer claims Rhymes has been served with the fine after repeatedly ignoring the law suit filed against him.
Bruce Regenstreich says, " We served Busta Rhymes in every location that we had for him. He just ignored the summonses."
Smith claims he was left needing stitches in a wound below his eye after Rhymes and a bodyguard beat him after he asked for an autograph in New York.
The hip-hop star also spent time in police custody earlier this week after another man claimed to have been assaulted by him.
